Our corten covers are engineered to fit various channels however we would recommend purchasing our own range of 5 inch poly-concrete, plastic or fibre composite channels. If you have already installed your channels please get in touch with us to discuss your retrofit options before purchasing this product.
About Corten
Corten steel exudes a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic reminiscent of cast iron but at a significantly reduced cost.
This metal undergoes a transformative evolution over time when subjected to atmospheric conditions. Initially resembling mild steel, it progressively ages upon exposure to water, developing a self-protective brown-orange coating that matures into a stable rust-like patina after enduring elemental exposure over a span of several years. The natural aging process can be expedited through regular application of water to the surface.
Please note that the channel and covers should be recessed by 4mm below the level of the paving to reduce possible run off and staining.
Furthermore, we offer the option to pre-age the covers using our post-rust finish, which not only establishes the desired colouration but also seals the top surface for enhanced durability.
